Too lazy to title this . . .

because that's just how I feel about this bag.

Well, sort of.

This is the ithinksew.com no. 22 pleats bag. It's a darling pattern. It's basically the large version of the bag I made for the Urban Home Goods 3 swap. Not basically—it is the large version of the bag I made for UHG3 swap.

I've been meaning to share this finish with you for a long while. It's been done and hanging on my closet door for probably a year. And even though I love, love, love it in the picture, it's just not practical for me as a purse. The handle is too short and the connection of the handle to the bag needs to be stabilized. I have been hoping to find another 2 yards of this fabric ever since I finished it so I could alter the pattern and remake it. But no luck there.

I've had a few people offer to "take it off my hands" for me and I've certainly been tempted to gift it or sell it or swap it, but I'm just too attached to the print to let it go. The fear of letting go might also have something to do with the fact that I had a bear of a time putting this one together. A lot of frustration with the pattern pieces and then some of my own errors in cutting. I invested a lot of time, energy, and money into this one. Too much to let it go.

I've considered adding a long strap that buckles on the interior so that I can sling it over my shoulder when shopping. Just haven't done it.

Do you ever feel this apathetic about a project once you've finished it? Even one that you hypothetically really love?

I'm using the bag today.

Really, really wish I had more of this fabric.

I'll keep an eye for that fabric! Tell me what it is okay?

I bought this pattern but never made it. I'll keep your comments in mind if I do make it!

I think I know the feeling you are having. I've even thrown stuff away (gasp!) before.

Cute scarf!!

I don't know about you but we are having a beautiful day down here, I'm about ready to got outside!

Ooo. Gorgeous! It's always easy to see the flaws in your own work. That's why I give most handmade items as gifts. I can't see a thing wrong with that purse in the picture though(it's GORGEOUS!). It's too pretty not to be out on display in the spring weather!

You can add another name to the long list of ladies willing to "sacrifice" themselves and take it off of your hands!

Echino fabric, right?

I've been frustrated before when something is pretty, but not functional. That's actually how i feel about most pretty clothes. Wow, so lovely, but then a t-shirt is so much more practical for my lifestyle. Hm....
