Loving Folksy Flannels on these cold winter nights

Just a little something I've been working on. Modeled after Alexia Abegg's quilt for Anna Maria Horner's studio—but with modifications. Unfortunately, I've run into a stumbling block: I don't have enough of a particular print to make my border and so I find myself stuck trying to find a solution other than buying more fabric. We'll see.

Chris found my "tools" amusing—he particularly likes that I use my iPod as a sewing tool. What better tool could there be, I say? Not only do I have music but I have inspiration at my fingertips—not to mention that calculator is pretty handy after a long day at work.

And, yes, this is my favorite print from the collection. It's the one I wanted to use as my border—but my measurements don't think that is going to happen.

Again, I say . . . we'll see. I may just have to find myself another half yard or so.

folksy flannel would be lovely right now. sigh. Can we please have a sewing "month" where we can sew all day every day (or until we want to take a break and crochet)? I wonder if I could keep that up...
