From Des Moines, with Love.

It's been busy. Crazy busy. Summer is clearly in full swing because the running from place to place with barely any time to breathe between has begun. I don't know how or why this happens . . . but every year, right about this time, it does. I kicked off my summer traveling spree with the journey to Quilt Market in Minneapolis and then we hopped in the car only a few days after returning from MN for good ol' Des Moines, IA where we spent some time with our good friends before they jetted off to Vegas and we hunkered down for the Memorial Day weekend with our family. And, by hunkered down, I mean more running from here to there to see this person and that. I have TONS to share from both Minnesota (market and a few cute shops we found along the way) and Iowa. But, alas, before we tie up our tennies for the madness of this coming weekend and the next, I have lots of design work to do for a client and so the blog will probably fall by the wayside a bit longer. For now, I leave you with this photo of us with Samberly—one of our favorite couples—in the new John Pappajohn sculpture park in downtown Des Moines. Not a great first attempt with the self-timer on our point and shoot . . . but at least we tried! Thanks for being patient, Sam and Chris . . . you know we love you!
