Doing good.

After much delay, I whipped up my two blocks for the September Faith circle quilt for the do. Good Stitches {a charity bee}. This month, Jennifer of That Girl, That Quilt planned our quilt. Jennifer gave a great and simple tutorial over on her blog for this wonky cross block. Thanks for making it easy on us, Jennifer!

While working on the block I did discover that my stash of yellows is really, really lacking. And, I even had a hard time choosing an aqua/teal because they didn't feel quite bold enough when I looked at the other blocks in the group. Hope they work out alright!

They are great! I'm sewing with some of that same 1974 plaid today...

How funny, Jennifer! I always thought I'd like to do a yellow and gray quilt and had to pick it up when I saw it. It's been one of those pieces I've been afraid to use but I'm glad I am now.

I know what you mean about yellows. I experienced the same thing. Cut into two of my favorite, but lonely, yellows in my stash.

I love 'em!
